With gratitude I look back on the time where I had the privilege to collaborate with Dr. Eibl on specific themes in bioengineering. His personal drive to develop new products in biomedicine paired with his distinctive vision to develop innovative solutions to reach this goal was the basis of his success. This attitude made him one of a few Austrian entrepreneurs with global importance. He will be remembered as prominent descendant of Landsteiner, Paltauf, Eisler-Terramare and Pirquet, scientists that have successfully developed the Austrian research landscape in their time. Dr. Eibl used his talents to motivate and actively support many young researchers and inventors to extensively collaborate in a search to find applicable solutions in biomedicine. The development of products with high impact in medicine was the basis of Immuno AG, the most successful startup launched by the University of Vienna.
