My thoughts go out to the Damm family on this sad day, that you have strength and peace during this difficult period.

Even though we never really worked on the same project, I was lucky to know Herbert and to learn from him. His approach taught me a lot about teamwork and about valuing people above all else. When the projects were difficult and the situations challenging, when sometimes people were upset, I remember Herbert standing out and keeping his positive outlook. Through his optimistic attitude, he many times contributed to bring a more positive and more relaxed approach towards the problems.

And I'm sure that many colleagues remember like I do, that one could go to Herbert and ask for advice or help, and he would usually have a cheerful smile and an uplifting laugh. I will surely remember his laugh and optimism, because it could make even the worst of days become better.

My sincere condolences to his family and everyone else who knew him.
